Daniel White is a retired U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal officer who served for twenty years before moving into public safety, where he helps design and conduct exercises built around real-world threats and human decision-making under pressure.

His debut novel, The Spear of Nod, is the first installment in The Unforged Trilogy, a post-apocalyptic science-fiction series exploring faith, goats, rocks, and robots.

Daniel and his wife, Kelly, have been married for thirty years and have three children and two grandchildren. When he’s not at his day job helping to improve emergency response plans, he enjoys building alternative worlds, creating complicated villains, and crying at movies his family insists are not that sad.
